Hubert Walters immigrated to the US in 1971; he settled in NC in the early 80s. He is known for his boat sculptures and his "half-people", and continues to create a wide variety of objects, using wood, plaster, Bondo(an auto body filler), or concrete. His subject matter often refers to memories of his native Jamaica.
